Uniform

Uniform is important for Health and Safety as well as to show pride in yourself and the School of Hospitality.

When practical or industry work is taking place students are to wear white and blue small checker chef pants, white chef jacket, black apron, black skull cap, and sturdy leather lace up shoes.

Chef uniforms can be purchased through the House of Knives in Petone for a discounted price. There will be a price list available once acceptance to the course is confirmed.

When theory or Front of House work is taking place students are expected to wear clean black shoes, black dress pants or skirt, white shirt, and black tie. A black cardigan or sleeveless vest may also be worn for warmth when theory work is taking place.

Students are expected to present themselves and their uniforms in a clean and ironed state everyday with no jewellery, nail polish, and non-natural make up being worn.
