We take our role in developing the leaders of tomorrow seriously. We give opportunity for as many students as possible to develop their skills by providing training and an effective leadership structure.
Leadership Training
Each year we take our Year 12 students out of school to develop their understanding of what leadership is and the ways in which each of them can take up a leadership role in Year 13. The executive leaders are trained further in their responsibilities with each one being asked to set goals. Training also includes essential skills such as speech making.
Head Students
Two students are appointed each year as head students. They apply for their position and go through a selection process that ensures the best candidates are chosen.
Captains
Four House Captains, two Sports Captains and two Cultural Captains are appointed using the same process that is used to select Head Students. The House Captains work together to run the house competition and are responsible for leading their houses. The Sports Captains and Cultural Captains have responsibilties in organizing and leading activities in their respective areas.
Board of Trustees Student Representative
Each year the student body elects one student to represent its interests on the School Board of Trustees. The student gains valuable experience of decision-making in the adult world.
Student Leaders
In addition to these leaders another 20 plus students are appointed as Student Leaders. Some of these operate within houses to assist the house captains while other may be appointed to lead specific activities in the school.
